I remember being so nervous and unsure of how everything was going to unfold — we didn't have a traditional aisle and therefore things didn't flow like "normal" — so our first look was super grounding and sweet!
Afterward, Iris suggested we go to our ceremony spot by the lake. She took photos while our family and friends slowly poured out of the main house and followed us; it was like we got to watch them walk down the aisle! I remember being so pleased, happy, and giddy with how it all worked out. In hindsight, I very much wish we had video, too!

During our wedding weekend, we invited them to camp with us the night before our micro-wedding. They fit in with our friends and family as if they had known them all forever! The day of the wedding, Iris joined me while we had some girl time and got ready for the day, while Jordan helped all the boys back at camp start setting up for the ceremony. Both of them upheld their mission statement/value of service the whole time. Iris was such a joyful yet calming presence (that was exactly what I needed to calm my nerves), and Jordan was eager and proactive with all of the set up.

We know how excited you are to share your day with your people! That’s why our packages include a First Week Sneak Peek* which includes a preview gallery and video teaser. We take pride in everything we deliver and want to bring you to happy tears, so our editing process isn’t one-filter-fits-all. High quality and attention to detail take a little time! Your final product will arrive 2-4 months after your wedding day depending on the package you choose, and it'll be just like Christmas morning…so worth the wait! We aren't just slapping a filter on your photos or throwing a song over your film: we obsess over the details as if your photos/videos were our own! What’s a few months when you’ve got a whole lifetime ahead of you, yknow?
Great question — a lot of places! When you decide to work with us, we don’t treat it as a one-day deal. Between phone calls, timeline planning, location scouting, vendor matching, traveling, multiple days of shooting, and editing your photos and videos for delivery…*deep breath*...we invest a minimum of 40 hours into each wedding experience (and for some packages, it’s more than double that!). So your investment isn’t just going into a product that will last a lifetime. It’s also going into our time, our thoughtfully curated process, and our business investments like gear, education, & training. Since part of Avodah’s mission is to give back & serve, you’ll also be supporting causes we care about! We donate to 3 different organizations & ministries monthly — you can read more about that here!
Absolutely! We thrive when we get to shoot together, but we do offer packages for just one service or the other. When you inquire with us, specify in your form what you're looking for. We can talk you through your options when we connect!
We primarily shoot intimate weddings in the PNW + Bay Area. Our packages are priced for couples in and around Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco. If you’re interested in hiring us for an intimate wedding outside the PNW or NorCal, we can customize destination wedding packages. Learn more about destination wedding packages here!
We intentionally limit ourselves to 2 weddings per month because of the time, dedication, and connection we put into each experience! That means we almost never shoot someone else's wedding or elopement the week we shoot yours. Spots do tend to book up fast, so if you already have a date picked out, reach out ASAP to see if we’re available. Fingers crossed! (We’ve got two hands each, so that’s double the good luck.)
We love and celebrate all different kinds of love stories! The couples that book us typically opt for a more intimate experience (think: backyard weddings with family and 1 wedding-party-person-per-side, adventure elopements, and intentional destination weddings). But if you love our work and want to work with a personal and professional photography & videography team? Reach out to us! We typically work with weddings of 30 guests or less, but we'd love to hear your vision for your day!
